"Kate the Great"-Our daughter Kate is only eight years old. She is perfect to us and has taught us so many things about what is really important in life.
Our daughter Kate is only eight years old. She is perfect to us and has taught us so many things about what is really important in life. Kate depends on us for so many things because an undiagnosed illness left her brain damaged when she was an infant. Though the medical community failed us then, we believe that stem cell research will offer Kate a much brighter future.
Kate loves to get dressed up at Halloween, to listen to music, to have stories read to her, to ride horses and to pedal her bicycle around the neighborhood. We hope that someday she can do these things without our help and that she will have many words available to her to describe her experiences. We know she has a lot to say and we want to do everything we can to make it possible for us to hear her one day. Stem cell research will make this a reality for Kate and the millions of children like her who have so much to teach us!
Help us inform Congress about the need for stem cell research by adding your own "Reality Snapshot" to our site. |
