Hopes for Harrison
Perhaps with stem cell research he can have the life that every young man deserves
Our angel, 7 year old Harrison, was born 14 weeks early, at less than two pounds. He was stricken with meningitis in the NICU, suffered a brain bleed, and now deals with cerebral palsy. While he is in most ways like any child his age, the gaps in his physical and mental development are beginning to become more apparent. He can't walk without assistance, and has had several surgeries in his young life. He has been forced to become an old soul, and has the heart of a lion, but one day he will begin to question why he cannot do the things other children do effortlessly.
We want to be able to tell him that it is a matter of time and research, and that there is hope. Maybe Harrison's childhood will never be compensated, but perhaps, with stem cell research and any and every avenue researched, he can have the life that every young man deserves. It is our prayer and our plea.
Help us inform Congress about the need for stem cell research by adding your own "Reality Snapshot" to our site
