This Is Me!!!!!!
My name is Hayven Blue Rae. I was born on February 17, 2001. I was diagnosed with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, Cerebral Palsy and Seizures. I have tried over 11 anti-epileptic medications and am finally getting good seizure coverage with the ketogenic diet. I don't walk yet, but I can crawl and stand on my own. My muscle tone is low, so balance is a problem. The seizures have caused me to break most of my front teeth, and I wear a helmet to protect my head. [thank goodness that these are only my baby teeth] I have pink streaks in my hair, I think its pretty fun! I don't talk yet, but I make lots of sounds and do a little sign language. I have lots of therapies at the Portland Oregon Shriner's Hospital for Children. I have had Achilles cord lengthening surgery. I wear AFO's for proper foot placement and support. I travel in a wheelchair, but I prefer to crawl around on my own. I go to special needs pre-school and am in an inclusive daycare where my mommmy works sometimes. Mommy is going to school to become a special education teacher!
