This film was shown at the 2014 Sprout Film Festival and highlights love and connection between two individuals attending a support group for those with developmental disabilities. CNS Foundation spoke with director Rachel Israel and Tangerine Entertainment about the making the film, what they have learned, and about turing the short into a feature film.
“The Princess Panda Tea Party” is a Cerebral Palsy fairy tale that gives children a story that they can picture themselves in. CNS Foundation was lucky enough to get a copy in advance of printing and is impressed by the work done by author Jewel Kats to bring stories about all different types of children to the forefront. June 2014 marks the second annual Hydranencephaly Awareness Month!
This year’s Sprout FIlm Festival will take place Saturday, May 31 to Sunday, June 1st at the School of Visual Arts Theatre in New York City. The two-day even features sessions that focus on themes related to developmental disability.
